Need help urgently - Where to get mineral wool/egg foam in UK? Making window plugs
 

Hi there,

hope that is the right place to ask something like that.
The thing is, i am a musician, recording at my own place. Because i don't want to bother anyone around me and my windows are very thin so you can hear the littlest sounds coming through, i am desperately trying to soundproof my windows. The walls are okay though - they are very thick.
I would simply like to make window plugs (i know they don't let sunshine through and don't look especially nice, but i don't mind, as they can be removed).
While researching different materials on the web, i found out that mineral wool (like Rock Wool), or egg shaped foam, work best. I thought of using one thick layer of mineral wool together with egg foam. So i have the idea how to do it, the problem is, i have no idea where to find these. I found mineral wool plates on the american amazon website no problem, but i live in London and i can't find anything like that on any UK websites. They only have round pipe insulation mineral wool on amazon. Or am i just looking in the wrong places?
It can be anywhere in Europe really as long as the shipping costs are not stupidly high.
I am preferably looking for a 1m x 1m square of mineral wool + egg foam.

If anyone's here from the UK and has an idea i would be very grateful, as i am getting pretty desperate with my search.

There's a selection of egg foam on eBay and a few on Amazon(UK) too, including a pack of 24 acoustic foam tiles for £35.
