Boss FS-5U unlatching pedal stopped working... HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED :)

3 Attachment(s)
I just bought my own Boss FS-5U as a tap tempo attachment for my Boss DD-7. Anyway I finally decided to attach velcro to my pedals by removing the rubber paddings on each of them. However when it came to the FS-5U, I noticed that the rubber was stuck onto it differently. Instead of it being glued to the surface, it was latched onto holes. When I removed it, I could see two screw bolts popping out since they were supposed to be attached to the rubber. When I tried it out, I had to literally use my hands to push the pedal down hard just so I could get the tap tempo working. I'm not sure if it's because I removed the padding or not but it was working fine before.

Anyone had the same problem? More so, any ideas on how to fix this? I have a bad feeling it has to do with the screw bolts... I posted pictures in the attachments

Lol so no one answered. Anyway for people looking at this thread wondering the same thing, you really can't remove the rubber or else the pedal will malfunction.

What I did was remove the velcro and place the rubber back in. I removed the other layer (the one the velcro is on) and screwed in the bolt back to the rubber with the plastic layer on it since it's hard to regularly place it back. Then I screwed whole thing back to its original place. There's really no way to place velcro on the rubber pad and stick unless you superglue it or place a wooden board under it and screw it on or something.

Anyway hope I helped people reading this wondering the same thing :)

Yes, I saw that. I'm thinking he used it, but dialed it down a bit, as in the solo for The Way That You Use It.

I used to use a DOD Death Metal pedal in the same manner.
