Censoring a song
Anybody think they could censor a song for me? I really want to play Sturgill Simpson's "A Sailor's Guide To Earth" tomorrow at the bookstore but his last track "Call to Arms", which is f*cking rad, has explicit lyrics. I still want to play the album but feel like without that bitchin' last track it's not the same.
Anybody here smart enough to censor the song and send me a file? I would be grateful. |

I done Syria Afganistan Iraq and Iran
North Korea tell me where does it end Well the bodies keep piling up with every day How many more of em they gonna send Well they send their sons and daughters off to die For some oil To control the heroin Well son I hope you don’t grow up Believing that you’ve got to be a puppet to be a man Well they cut off your hair and put a badge on your arm Strip you of your identity Tell you to keep your mouth shut boy and get in the line Meet your maker over seas Wearing that Kim Jong-il hat While your grandma’s selling pills stat Meanwhile, I’m wearing my ‘can’t pay my urgent/(pending) bills’ hat Nobody’s looking up to care about a drone All too busy looking down at our phone Our ego’s begging for food like a dog from our feed Refreshing obsessively until our eyes start to bleed They serve up distractions and we eat them with fries Until the bombs fall out of our empty skies Turn off the TV Turn off the news Nothing to see here They’re serving the blues Nonsense on my TV Nonsense on my radio Hollywood telling me how to be me The nonsense's got to go Not perfect, but it's all I could think of. Replaced words should have same amount of syllables as original words. |

Must be nice to have a job where you can just play whatever you like. I recommend Pig Destroyer. |

Play this at work. No swear words and it's musically inoffensive.

I've heard of this method before:
... but havent' made it acutally work well. I t depends on where the vocals are placed in the mix, so it doesn't work for all tracks. Looking around on Youtube, that particular Sturgill song is the one they won't let me download, so I can't run the experiment. Seems like a useful method though. |
I tried it and the program wouldn't let me do some functions that were instructed to be done in the how to articles I've found which is why I want somebody to do it for me because I suck.

I wish someone had told me that tidbit and saved me months of frustration with Audacity. |

I just did it successfully with a track from my computer! Pretty easy, but like I said, it depends on the song. Even if doing it right, it might not work. EDIT: Being paused is also a no-no :P |
