Help choosing mic

Hi!

I was going to buy the Rode NT-USB since I like to create rap songs, but then I saw the Audio Technica AT2020 XLR with the Behringer UM2 as the interface audio for aprox. the same price, and I was wondering what's the better option. My voice is very deep, and I heard that the Rode is better for men voices, don't know if that's true.

I would be very thankful if someone could help me to choose ^^ .

If you look closely enough at either, down to the smallest possible particles, both are inherently identical in composition. All of the wonders and complexities of life, from those microphones to your very construct of self, bloom from nothing more than slight rearrangements of the continually larger masses comprising of these identical particles that come into view as you step back, and thus delineate existence.

I know Behringer products are real iffy. They've gotten better since they purchased a proper design/tech firm, but I still have yet to but anything with their name on it.

Maybe look into return policies, and if you don't like what you purchased you can return it and go with the other.

Rode NT-USB:

Pros:
USB connectivity for easy plug-and-play setup.
Good for a wide range of applications, including voiceovers, podcasts, and vocal recording.
Built-in pop filter and headphone jack for direct monitoring.
Cons:
May not offer as much control or versatility as an XLR setup.
Some users find the sound to be slightly less natural compared to XLR microphones.
Audio Technica AT2020 XLR with Behringer UM2:

Pros:
XLR connection provides better sound quality and more control over recording settings.
The AT2020 is known for its clarity and detail, which can complement deep voices well.
The UM2 interface offers basic but functional features for recording.
Cons:
Requires additional equipment (XLR cables, audio interface) for setup.
May have a steeper learning curve for beginners compared to USB microphones.
Considering your deep voice and focus on creating rap songs, the Audio Technica AT2020 XLR with the Behringer UM2 interface might be the better option. The AT2020 is known for its clear and detailed sound, which can help your vocals stand out in your recordings. Additionally, the XLR connection and interface will give you more control over your recording settings, allowing you to tailor the sound to your liking.

Ultimately, both options have their strengths, so it's a matter of weighing the convenience of a USB microphone against the flexibility and control of an XLR setup based on your specific needs and preferences.
