Whats the cd for? Interesting set up there dude

I set it on top of the snare and it gives it an interesting type of mute that I haven't gotten from wallets or shirts or whatever. Sometimes I'll lean it against the rim for a different sound. Plus it's a Wolves In Sheepskin album so it adds an element of humour to it. Actually, I use all the additional items in that picture that aren't the snare and sticks like this.

Im rocking this orange Ibanez sr500, four string with flatwound rotosounds, standard gauge. It has excellent action and the nut size is perfect. I love the neck, its slim and quick. The only problem is its an active bass and ive had to pull my 9v battery out of a fire alarm for the sake of a jam session. It also buzzes when im on the g string playing the ninth fret. anyone ever had that problem with a bass?

Ibanez quality is hit or miss. I'd say a bit of filing, or pounding with a mallet on the fret will get it in line. Just do a little at a time, and research the how-to before hand.

I imagine that sounding pretty cool. Do you tune the snare differently too? Lower or higher than normal? I lik to cover my snare up too, during our lighter jams, never used a cd tho haha

I generally tune it to its deepest so it'll ring a lot. Playing it with the clarinet bell when it's really tight doesn't have much of an effect. I play that kit on our upcoming abun so keep an eye on the forum member showcase. The cd I play with is Indecent Vibrations which has already been released.

I have a 2000's era keyboard and it blows pretty hard sound wise, but it's mainly for practice.

I am 42 and have been playing guitar for 28 years! Played in a few bands early on then took a few years off of the band scene to raise my kids. Got back into the playing scene a few years back when my kids got older. I have now been playing with the best group of guys for the last year or so. Mainly working on our own original music, but we also have learned a good pile of covers to fill space up until we have enough of our own stuff. For covers it is mostly alternative hard rock with mostly 90's content. Through my years of playing I have studied blues, metal, classic rock, prog, stoner rock, pop, funk, disco and eastern music. There is never to much to learn when it comes to music.

As for guitars I have many, but all I really play are four partscasters I put together myself. Two Strats and two Telecasters. These are all custom built to the specs I like the best. For amps I prefer low wattage tube amps that can be cranked to the sweet spot at band volumes. I mainly have been using a Fended Pawn Shop Surf Green Excelsior as of late. Sometimes I go with my Laney LC15-R through a two 2-12 Celestion cabinet. For effects I have to many to list and rotate what I use on my band board depending on my mood. I huge part of them are Boss, because I feel they are top notch.
