Ah, ok. Was thinking the worst. I've been wanting a Tele myself, but I've been off the grid for guitar playing for a while though, so I can't really justify picking one up.

Pretty cool you got it back though. I've only heard of that happening maybe once or twice.

(not my photo) Engelhardt 3/4 cello. Pretty scuffed up, had to reset the bridge (it was backwards and unaligned), and it needs new strings, but it seems to have a pretty sick sound.

How far outta whack is the neck? Still, the tones from a cello... *drools a little*

Frownland 12-18-2018 08:30 PM

Neck looks fine to my uninformed eye. The bridge on it is held there by the string tension and it had just been dislodged as well as put on backwards, which I've since fixed. Should be golden when I get a new set of strings. Even with old and ****ty strings, the sound still makes my dick hard. The part where the strings are fraying are difficult to fret though.

Lemme get a turn when you're done.

Is anyone here into the modular synthesis? I started with the eurorack format a year or so ago, and it's a lot of fun. When I get back from vacation I'll take a picture of the new case I'm filling up with modules. I made it out of an old spice box!

Only 1 post in the gear thread all year? Brutal.

Picked up a Seagull S6 Original QIT for $350 this year after discovering how ridiculously well made the Godin family acoustics are (Simon & Patrick, Art & Lutherie, Seagull). Fantastic tone for a budget acoustic and plays almost as easily as my Larrivee. First electric acoustic I've owned. Factory pickup and electronics are pretty good, nothing spectacular but they get the job done. Bit of a mess when gigging unless you jam a feedback suppressor in the soundhole but I suppose that's pretty common for all electric acoustics.

Also picked up an Albion TCT-100. Obscure budget tube amp that sounds surprisingly good and is seriously versatile for a two channel tube amp, they can be found as cheap as $400. Circuits were designed by Steve Grindrod (ex Chief of Design for Marshall and Vox, father of the JCM800 and Silver Jubilee). A local guitar tech has insisted to me that they're unreliable nightmares but for the price and sound I figure I'll take the risk. It'll be replacing my old MESA Single Rectifier as my primary gigging amp, as long as it survives it's first public appearance tomorrow night. It's not the greatest sounding tube amp I've ever heard in my life but it is definitely the greatest sounding sub-$1000 tube amp I've ever heard in my life.

Noodling around with the Albion and my Telecaster, new riffs for an original hard rock project that I started with some highschool buddies earlier this year. Recorded in my new home studio (cellphone on a chair).

What I've been spending money on. I want to get an Erica Synths Sample Drum next. Not sure what kind of gate and cv sequencer I should get to more effectively use my oscillators as I'm using a BSP for sequencing duties, but I'm leaning towards a Rene v2.
