Default Pickup poll

What's your favorite kind of pickup? Not as in brand or model, but generally. You know, Single-coil or humbucker, alcino or ceramic, etc.

Personally, I like Alcino-V magnets in humbuckers. It gives a lot of punch, and plenty of power. I don't see why some many people tell me that you need ceramics for metal, Alcino-V works just fine. For me, Alcino-II isn't powerful enough, and Ceramics are just too muddy for me. It's not that present when you distort them, but an undistorted ceramic pickup just sucks.

I like the hum's most!!!They seem to have a more powerful, focused, and clear tone to them...plus they don't have those annoying sounds that come out of them like the single's do!!!Hum's are more like the sound of a quickly grabbed crash, while single's are like that annoying pitch of a crash that carries on forever!!! I think it's cool though that they have single coil's that resemble hum's today...
...you can get the sound of a hum even if all you have is a basic single coil strat and that's pretty cool for anyone interested!!!
