Help with bass

does any one know of a site with the bass notes on a fretbord or chords for a bass

ClayManSteve 07-14-2006 04:49 PM

the notes are easy.

E A D G are the open strings. go up half a step for each fret

so the E string would be E(open),F,F#/Gb,G, G#/Ab,A,A#/Bb, B and so on

bass doesnt really have chords its usually one note at a time.

for tabs www.bass-masta.com and www.ultimate-guitar.com are good places to go.

You can play chords on bass, but it's a well known fact that chords in most part suck ass on bass... Especially when you just strum all strings at once, it sounds like crap, even picking two at once has a very dull, flat sound... So it is best recomended to play one string at a time.

Anyway, in addition to what clayman already pointed out, i recomend www.activebass.com
