Learn some **** easy pub rock, ac/dc, deep purple, darkness, its all power chords and open chords, there's nothing easier when trying to get used to working your way around the fretboard.

Black Sabbath and zeppelin is also great for beginners.

Time of Your Life is a great song to learn. It's got picking, chords and it's not to sing along to while playing so it's got the whole shibang.

therapy? isnt too hard, or stone temple pilots, grunge rock n roll in general tends to be easy to play.

Misfits and Ramones songs are easy.

If you prefer chords, go for Bright Eyes, and most of the singer/songwriter types.

Agreed, although when I first started guitar it took me a while to get the distortion right on the solo.

I play guitar as well it is difficult, it took me a week to figure that out now I play it perfectly.

No just Heart Shaped Box took me a week to play perfectly I played that song non stopped. It took me a year to play half way decent I'm still not very good.
