Meh, they don't look all that great and their effect pedals look retarded. Even the names for the pedals are stupid...
|
have you ever played one though?
|
I have a Danelectro FAB Distortion pedal, I love that thing.
But my question was more do you like the guitars? How do they feel? Is the sound good for the money? |
i've got a few danelectro pedals if you can get over the names and odd shapes they're great. i'm not a huge fan of their mini pedals in the plastic cases but their full sized metal ones are great.
i've never tried their guitars but from what i understand they're a love / hate kind of instrument. i wouldn't pony up the cash for a vintage piece but i wouldn't shop around for a new beater without trying one out. |
You can get a re-issue for around 200 I think.
|
Yeah, but for the money are they actually decent guitars? They seem like the type of guitar that's not for everyone, so this may be a hard question.
I plan to try one out, I love the shape of them. Hopefully they feel and sound just as good. |
My favorite guitar would have to be Prince's that he played at the Super Bowl last year...

don't plan on replacing a good piece of gear with a D. it's an add-on to your collection if anything. |
Well, I already own an Epi Paul Special II. I was just thinking about Danelectros because I hear they're decent, and they're pretty unique... but if you'd compare them to a Special II, then I prolly shouldn't mess with it. Besides, I've been wanting and Epiphone Dot for a while now.
|
just because it's in the same price range as the special II doesn't mean it's the same quality. still wouldn't hurt to try it, especially where you've got some first hand experience with its competition.
