My favorites are the strat and tele, though i don't own either yet :(. I play a Yamaha F-325 Acoustic. I love it.

Guitars in my collection:

Les Paul Standard (my fav so far)
American Strat
Squier Standard Strat (surpisingly nice for the money)
Ibanez RG-770
Ibanez Destroyer II
Aria Acoustic

I've owned several others in the past. What I need to do is add a V. Any suggestions?

jeesus my strat is mexican i think... i dont really find much of a difference sound wise between where they are made... so the squier is actually a decent guitar? felt like crap when i played one...

Yeah, it depends on which Squier you played. The Bullet and the Affinity are trash. The Squier Strat (standard) is quite good, especially for $200. If you ever need a second decent guitar for a low price, consider the Squier Strat (standard).

There are five quality levels of a Fender Strat:

1. American Strat - $800
2. Mexican Strat - $400
3. Squier Strat - $200
4. Squier Affinity - $150
5. Squier Bullet - $100 ($99)

1, 2, and 3 are good to great guitars. 4 and 5 are junk.

Depends who you ask. I can't see any reason to upgrade. Mexican is plenty good.

Les Paul Studio is probably the guitar he is referring to.
