So im wondering (guitar, Fender, expensive)

i've saved up for a few years about...2500 dollars.

im thinking of getting a gibson les paul that my uncle is selling at that price.

any other ideas of what i should get instead?

If you don't know how to play guitar I discourage buying a very expensive guitar to start out with.

i have a gibson SG and i know how to play fairly well.
and i've got a Les Paul which i recently just bought.

In that case... if you can afford it, buy it.
There's no replacement for a quality guitar and you'll find it easier to learn.
Also, if you get fed up with it, something like a Fender Strat (instead) are always sought after and keep a decent price.
You'll have no trouble selling it on.

alright.
im thinking about going and buying it. im just gonna save up a bit more in case if i need to sell it it'll be like i never ran out of much money. but i'll play for a few months if i get it than i'll decide on if i'll keep it or not
