Looking for a Guitar to Buy

I have been playing electric guitar now for about two years and now I want to buy a really good guitar. I play a lot of fast stuff so I was wondering what guitar I should buy.

Please enlighten me with your infinite knowledge of guitars

For speed, Ibanez is the way to go.

why style are you looking to play,...
will this guitar just be for fun, or are you lookin to really play (ie in front of people,......if so you'll want better pickups)

In response to your questions i'm looking for more of a metal guitar that has a heavy sound to it, and yes I am looking to get serious about playing guitar even in front of people. Since you said your a fan of Gibson guitars i'd like to hear what you think about the Explorer or whatever it's called now.

Thanks

the best thing to do is go to your local music store and ask to try all the guitars... find something you like and go with it

That is the best advice, really.

Yep, try it first and buy it online

Honestly, try out a bunch of guitars. I persoonally love Ibanez electrics. I have owned fenders before, but I simply love the feel of an Ibanez neck. For a great acoustic at a low-ish price check out Schecter's ACS elite. I own one and love it. For the size of the guitar the sound is great, and hte action is better than my best friends taylor. I picked it up for a lil over $300, they retail around $500 and you can find them as low as $250 new. shop around and find something that just "feels right". If it just looks cool, but it isn't perfectly comfortable in your hands don't buy it...you will play your best on an instrument that feels perfect to you.

noooooooooooooo dont buy it online.. it could be damaged or tampered with

Patrick Eggle guitars are great. They make PRS sound and feel like toys.

I also adore Ernie Ball musicman guitars...they just feel perfect...I just wish I could afford one
