Default Please help me decide!!!

I'm trying to decide what to play. In high school, I was firt chair clarinet. I also played flute, sax, and drums. Now I'm graduated college and I haven't played since high school. I always wanted to learn guitar and piano, but struggled with both. I have very small hands. When I tried piano, the instructor told me that my fingers were too stiff from playing clarinet. SO...I'm trying to decide what to do right now. I know it seems silly, but music has ALWAYS been a huge part of my life and I feel empty not playing...and it seems impossible for my passion to be fulfilled just playing clarinet in my apartment. I need a full sound. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rachel

Go with Piano, No matter where music is at right now, it can be played on the Piano! to hip-hop, R&B, Rock even! Piano Covers it all...

Get on Ebay and find yourself a user-freindly synthesizer like a Kawai K-4, circa 1990, inexpensive now, but you can play clarinet, piano......anything you like! Make sure it comes with its power supply and is in good condition. And the Kawai K-1 is alright but kinda cheezy sounding. These are easy to use and figure out. You can learn piano and have a midi synth too. Later, you can buy a sequencer(cakewalk music creator?) and record your own music. Go to cakewalk.com and register and talk to some folx on the music creator forum. You would be amazed at what you can do with a decent synth and a PC. Sounds like you want to be creative with music and this is the way, depending on your budget. MIDI. My 2 cents worth......

Hey Man
I think maybe try again with guitar because when you get pst the not very good stage its is a really cool instrument other wise maybe go piano or bass.

Cheers

Get a junior sized guitar with nylon strings.

If you want a full sound, theres only one real choice, and thats piano. I dont know how small your hands are, but you can play piano if you want to. have confidence, and work on stretching your fingers. As my teacher says about my guitar playing, "If it doesn't hurt, you're doing something wrong".

You'll always get a gig on piano or bass
