should be fine.

besides, your first guitar is all about learning the instrument. no one who plays an instrument seriously sticks with their starter. so long as it makes you feel cool and want to continue developing as a musician it's good to go. cut your teeth on it and save up for something nicer later on once you have a better idea of what particular sounds you're looking to produce through your instrument.

As a note - Don't buy anything with a tremolo bridge on it unless you're spending good money on the guitar. Cheap licensed floyd and cheap edge II style bridges are much more hassle than they're worth. Stick with a fixed bridge or a stratocaster style bridge on cheaper instruments.

starting to be a musician starts with a basic instruments... guitars are a good start. You don't have to buy the most expensive one even acoustic guitar's are fine, besides your on the first step yet. Take time to practice, sooner or later you became the legendary guitarist.
