Well... now to get back on topic, you can find vintage 12 string hagstroms for about 400 - 700 bucks on ebay.

how about keeping the trolling and flaming out of the instrument threads?

i also noticed agile guitars also offer a few 12 string models (if you like the les paul shape). they're also quite cheap (between $300-$400 USD).

what are your feelings on semi-hollow bodies? seems you'd have a wider selection of makes and models. or have you made up your mind on the danelectro?

turboduck17 11-16-2008 09:52 PM

because u can get scammed on ebay dude

Obviously, but I've probably bought about 200 items on ebay over the past 5 years and I've never been scammed.

If you do it the right way there's never an issue, and if you have PayPal they pay you out insurance.

But I guess there is a risk when you buy something expensive.

turboduck17 11-16-2008 10:04 PM

exactly

If you're an idiot who buys from dudes with no feedback and ****ty pictures sure. If you ask a couple questions and request a quality, timestamped photo of the item, you're nearly always home free.

mrmusicguru 11-17-2008 05:23 AM

Since i last read and replied on this thread... it seems that this is now an ebay battle, haha.

1.) ebay is not a scam... unless you bid on those 'I'm selling my soul auctions'.

2.) I have recently decided in invest in a Ibanez vintage, maple wood... minor scratches (since it's circa 1978, I'm not surprised).

...if anyone really cares about acoustic 12 strings, I'll gladly post some more specs on it, and maybe a pic or two :)

I bought a couple of my guitars from ebay and I've had no problems. Why shouldn't you buy guitars off ebay?

turboduck17 11-17-2008 08:31 PM

we already went over this. scams happen.

Astronomer 11-18-2008 12:02 AM

Yeah but not if you use the system smartly. You'd have to be pretty dumb to be scammed with the security and insurance Ebay and PayPal now use.

Yes they do. To ****ing morons. Thousands of people buy lots of things from ebay every day, the percentage of scams is very small and besides that its EASY to avoid them if you follow a couple rules.

Stop trolling.

FireInCairo 11-18-2008 04:42 AM

Ebay is the ****
Don't buy from people with no feed back or crap feedback.
