Cool Instrument of Choice . . .

There's a possibility that this subject has already been addressed, however I'll give it a shot anyways!!!

Answer this: what is your absolute favorite instrument. One being so that it makes you shiver with goosebumps when it's played because the sound is so magnificent? It doesn't have to be one that you necessarily play.

For me, when I hear the esraj I am entranced. It has the tantilizing effect of the violin's vibration, but the strings beneath add an extra umph to the whole effect. Overall it's sounds it too unique to compare.

However, I can not say it is my favorite. I have yet to really delve into this question. I'm hoping some of you have an absolute answer.

I like keyboard because it's so incredibly versatile. And it's easy for a beginner to plunk around on but also very difficult to play well.

mmm, good choice! I used to own an old Yamaha keyboard. I was a little tyke, thus it was quite easy to make noise with and definitely good for plunking round :P

My absolute favorite insterment has to be the drums. When I play the drums...I feel like Im expressing myself without words. I know alot of musicians probably feel the same, but I just cant get over how good it feels and how happy it makes me.

Well I play the piano so this is obviously my favorite. But if I were to choose one that I don't play I would say violin.

I play piano and I think it is one of the most beautiful and saddest instruments I've ever heard and played.

But I also love playing guitar. I can't pick between the two.

for me it's the flute. a well performed solo piece will leave me with every hair on my body standing on edge. it's like channeling the air we all breathe into the voice of a god when it's done right.

I love hearing some good, dark classical guitar.

I love instruments that have many many layers. Like an organ or a bagpipe. They just put out so many different sounds its like a whole band in one! i love cello too.

I love a lot of solo instruments when played well but I have to put in my vote for....the human voice. When its used well, its eargasmic.
