Default Splicing a guitar cable/Making a Y-cable

Hi,
I am looking to make a cable that I can plug my one guitar into two amps. So it would have 3 male ends. Is it possible/easy to take two cables and make it on my own? If so, how would I go about doing so?
Thanks in advance for your help!

SameDayMusic.com: Hosa Y Cable – S 1/4 in M to 2 1/4 in F

$7 and a 2nd cable is WAY less hassle than splicing a cable yourself.

personally i use a stereo pedal as a splitter but a cable adapter would work just as well.

Most music stores will have a bargain bin with various cables and adapters. Splicing wires is really easy... but if you need to ask how to do it, you should just spend a few bucks and avoid possible problems.
