Guitar Pedal Push Button Fix

Hi,
I have a Zoom G2.1u pedal and one of the buttons to switch the effect is wearing out to the point where it will only switch effects on in every 10 times you push it. Does anyone know how I would fix this?
Thanks in advance for you help!

Take it apart, look for a loose connection, solder if necessary.

Might be the switch also.

I have a POD X3 Live that exhibited the same problem. I took it apart and found out that the switch on the top was just a mechnical piece designs to touch down a mini electrical switch on a PCB below.

Over time, the PCB had bent slightly and the mechnical portion of the switch which was attatched to the chassis, wasn't long enough to hit that miniswitch and thus it wouldn't work. (THe PCB wasn't supported in any way and is just hot glued to the chassis

I took everything out, taped some folded cardboard to the back of the PCB to wedge it up and stop it bending. Put it back together and good as new.
