Gear question

my step daughter came home today with what i think is a nifty device.

Behringer V-AMP 2

it seems to provide quite a lot of cool effects for the $$.
of course there are better effects processors out there but i didn't know you could get this much for so little. i didn't try the midi interface yet, and i only played around with it for about an hour tonight, but it was fun and easy to use. anyone used one before, or have an opinion?

looks like a blue version of the line 6 pod. personally i'm not huge on multi-effect units but if it sounds good to you then great hehe.

Iv'e demo'd both the POD and the Behringer. The Pod's effects and speaker emulations definitely sounded more "authentic" and 3-dimensional, but the Behringer isn't a bad lil' unit at all.

i used to have a multi a long time ago, but i can't remember what it was. i got it at a pawn shop, it did a zillion things, it was complicated, but sounded good.

the neat thing is, my step daughter is 14, and she doesn't like to admit it, but she's a bit metalish when she plays her guitar. she picked that out herself. i thik she did ok considering how much she had to spend.

Boss GT-10--nothing is better

As was mentioned before the Behringer V-AMP 2 is pretty much the the same idea as the POD and boss GT-10.

Of the three the Behringer is the lowest end model but still a cool little unit. Your daughter should get some good use from it. :thumb:

also, just picked up a used fender frontman reverb from craig's list.
i am really surprised at how nice the overdrive is on this little amp, and how powerful it is. the last time i owned an amp it was a marshall valvestate i bought in like 95 i think, and i didn't like it as much as i like this one.
