Dream Guitar
All right, I tried a search and you're probably all going to kick me when it turns out this is already a thread :bonkhead:
But wot is your dream guitar? I have two. One would be American Fender Double Deluxe Telecaster in a dark sunburst http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-...Sunburst_1.jpg Second is Cherry Gibson es-335 dot http://i.ebayimg.com/18/!BhrrI)gCGk~...0dSojQ~~_3.JPG Pretty much the Gibson version of my ep archtop... with a white pickguard. Wot say you!? |
I'll take one of these.
http://jim777.com/images/basses/Infinity_Full.jpg One of these. http://www.thorbass.com/slideshow/medium/0028.jpg And one of these, for good measure. http://taygun.files.wordpress.com/20...ctric-bass.jpg |
I like the jaguar bass, I had been looking at a few of the jagmaster guitars when I was searching for a new axe. The other two are quite different than the traditional ones I'm into haha

i'm not really picky, but i've always been intrigued by Maton hollowbodies:
http://www.oz-eguitars.com.au/catalo...big/bb1200.jpg but i'm settling for one of these: http://www.guitarsandeffects.com/gui...FjazzM_005.jpg my amp wishlist is rather extensive. i'd love to hunker down to an Orange cabinet but i'm afraid my wallet doesn't stretch that far. |
Always wanted a Gibson Les Paul Robot.
Especially in this colour. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/ffxi...0_guitar,0.jpg |

One of these beauties, I love the feel of the vibrato and it has probably one of the coolest guitar body shapes of all time. http://www.vintage-guitars.se/1965_Gibson_ES-330TDC.jpg And this mother, I've always wanted a hollowbody and the p-90s are just icing on the cake. |

and Gretsch hollowbodies put Gibsons to shame, too bad they both cost an arm and a leg. |
Go read about it. Neil youngs wonderful sounds blackie.

1 - RGA body with natural maple binding.
2 - Mahogany, Quilted Maple Top. Trans red or blue. The finish would have an undercoat of black, sanded back, underneath it though. Like Carvins Deep finishes. 3 - ZR7 Trem with the arm holder switched to a stainless steel one. 4 - custom wound HSH pickups, active for low string pull, but with a circuit designed NOT to limit like EMGs. Failing that, the same but with an 18v circuit. 5 - 5 piece maple/ebony neckthrough, reinforced with graphite rods, with an ESP alexi neck profile and a 26" scale to keep the low B tight. 6 - Reverse headstock 7 - Flame Maple Binding on the neck and headstock 8 - Ebony Fretboard 9 - J-Custom Style Vines in Flame maple 10 - seperate on/off and splitting miniswitches for each pickup. 11 - A freakin Peizo, with both piezacoustic and MIDI functionality. (Routed to the same jack for peizo and magnetics, with a midi plate for midi output.) 12 - 24 frets, scallop the last 7. 13 - Extra deep pullup routing. 14 - A better sustain block on the trem, brass and larger. Wouldn't allow for a ZPS bar because i never use the damn thing. 15 - Stainless steel jumbo fretwire, with the ends completely rounded. 16 - Big volute on the neck for sustain and rigidity. 17 - Locking tuners 18 - At the headstock, a retention bar backed with felt to damp headstock vibrations 19 - Satin neck finish 20 - Modified tremolo machined to tighter tolerances to prevent sway and movement, right down to the posts and studs. 21 - Direct Mounted Pickups. 22 - CTS Potentiometers, volume and tone. 23 - "Blower Switch" which bypasses volume and tone pots when pressed, in order to give more brightness and volume to the tone. 24 - Modified internal wiring with slightly thicker than standard guage OFC copper and braided shielding. 25 - Modified shielding and backplates with no gaps in them, copper tape shielding in ALL cavities, including back and pickup routes. NOT conductive paint. I'll add more ridiculous requests as and when I think of them. Suffice to say, I demand a LOT from my guitars. |
And how could I have forgotten about one of these?
http://www.pixelaxel.de/uploads/imag...4001_3D_04.jpg I'm a fan of a classic just as much as the avant-garde. |

How did I know that you would be the first to respond to this?

guitarbizzare, have you ever tried your hand at luthiering? you'd be able to have the specifications you want, you seem to know your ****. |
That looks like it would be a lot of fun just to mess around with. Even if you don't play guitar.
