Default Do you know what this guitar is?

Plan to fix it up. But have to know what it is first. It looks Gibson-y.
Any idea? (:

Hard to tell from that picture as its such a common shape, it could be one of hundreds of brands. What youve got is a single cutaway Les Paul style body minus the bolt on neck. Looks in good shape though and should fix up nicely.
If you can find a serial number that would help (often on the neck plate or reverse of the headstock). Sites like Mylespaul, Harmony Central, the Gibson site or the Gibson forum could probably assist further. Good Luck

Not sure if they help but if that is a stock pick-up you should be able to get some more information by looking at the back.

doesn't look like any Les Paul or Gibson i've ever seen. not enough knobs, no pick guard.

my gut is saying Hamer.

are there really no other distinguishing markings there?
