I am majoring in the nerdy stuff lol, incredibly interesting. But yeah drums are the worst to tune.

The Timpani are pretty difficult.

Ya, there's not too much you can do about it. Some marimbas are manufactured with tunable resonators so you can move the plugs up and down but even then it's not as simple as tuning a guitar.

You'd think with all the money they put into band they would buy one of those fancy electronic drum tuners that measure the lug tensions. But I guess it's really good ear training to tune them yourself.

yeah that's always what they say, I guess it is good ear training. But sometimes they say that thing, and it seems so absurd. [last time we had to measure the light for our photo, tho with a click of a button we could've finished 30 minutes earlier -_-].

Or with digital age we're just getting lazy :D

lol, right? 'Cause lets face it, nobody has that good of an ear. Our senses are very limited compared to the high precision of specialized instrumentation out there.

Alright then, try tuning a 12 string by ear and then say that.

way easy, tuning a twelve string is just as easy as a regular guitar, just more annoying and time consuming
