Fuzz Pedals

I would like to know ur recomendations on fuzz pedals

I am currently looking into the Swollen Pickle MKII by Way Huge electronics
which sounds amazing!

but I don't buy it on impulse knowing that there was something better

what do u guys reccomend?

Never used a bad one, very durable, sound great. Doesnt have to be this model exactly, because frankly I havnt tried them all, but of the 3-4 I have, all sounded great.

You can never go wrong with a big muff...

I'm saving up for a Maestro Fuzztain to go along with my Proco Rat... they can be quite expensive, but they have a very unique 60's/70's vibe to them and I've heard nothing but good things.

Word up with the Big Muff. I've been using it since 2003, the only pedal I still have and I use to have an amazing collection of them too.

How are the others. I own the one pictured (Biff Muff Pie) and love it. Built like a tank and sounds great. Now definitely thinking of trying there phasers and delay pedals as well.

Personally I'd go for the Swollen Pickle simply because I hear they are great and are very similar to Big Muffs but with a larger tonal range. That being said, I am a fan of the Big Muff but, having tried both the Russian and NYC version, I'd go for the Russian (Black one with yellow script). The ZVEX fuzz factory is another popular choice and wouldn't mind having one myself.

I was a little unclear in my post last year, I have only ever owned one fuzz pedal but I've owned dozens of other stomp boxes. That said in my 2004 quest to make my rig sound like Billy Corgan's I tested at least 10 fuzz pedals before settling on the Big Muff, some of which include the Zvex Fuzz Factory and the a Boss FZ-5 as you pictured awhile back. I also tested out a Russian Muff (lol!) and found it to be a little too abrasive for what I was going for. Apparently though the Big Muffs from the '90's are the ones to get, but tracking them down is difficult and they run the gauntlet of a couple hundred bucks.

I enjoyed the Zvex Fuzz Factory pedal, but the price on it is kind out outrageous because of the custom paint color. I would like to see them introduce a plain model at a lower price and let the user decorate as they see fit.

There actually are some cheaper versions from the vexter series simply because it doesn't have the custom paint job.

Still kind of pricey but about $80-100 cheaper.

Huh... perhaps I mind beamed them the idea to do it? Anyhow the only other pedal I'd want to get right now is a Marshall Shredmaster but those things are waaay to expensive.

Buuuut, isn't that more of an overdrive pedal with EQ knobs?
