String setting on keyboard

Hi,

There is a string setting (Mode) on keyboard, like there's a flute mode or violin mode, and so on. What exactly is the string mode? It sounds good, you can hold it and create the impression that many instruments are playing simultaneously. But what exactly is the string mode - which instrument has been programmed into it?

Thanks,
Music

I've always assumed it was supposed to sound like the string section of an orchestra.

I'm not sure what you're looking for here. Do you not know what the string section of an orchestra is? If you don't here's a little rundown:

I thought it sounded more like chamber music.
