That many. So...thirteen? Fourteen if you count the Trogotronic M666 since it TECHNICALLY can be used as a guitar pedal (albeit more as just a goddamn chaos engine). Fifteen if you count my (not pictured) Big Muff Pi that I need to fix.

I'm not sure I want to stop and actually think about how much I've spent on all of those goddamn noisemakers...

i played through my set yesterday and realised i do need a noise-gate and an EQ

Frownland 02-03-2012 10:32 PM

I have a regular distortion pedal that came with my Peavey, but I suppose that doesn't really count since it only works on the type of amp that I own. I also have a Boss Super Delay, it's orgasmic and too much fun to have for when you're just wankin on your instrument. I have a Digitech Whammy Pedal which has several different settings such as harmonics settings, drop tune, dive bomb, and an octavizer if I'm remembering correctly. Lastly, I have a standard Crybaby, and that's fun if you want to be bluesy or hook up a mic to it.
Sad thing is I only use one at a time according to my outlet situation. :(

Rechargeables are your friend. Otherwise dude would need like 3 power bars for all the adapters coming out of that board.

How much are those? (charger as well. I am pretty tired of buying 9volts. And I thought rechargables usually didnt last as long.

Farfisa 02-04-2012 04:33 AM

Dudes, get a onespot. They are god's great gift to poor noisemakers.

Unicr0n 02-04-2012 06:57 AM

I'm not powering them with batteries. I had JUST put them on the board when I took that picture, hadn't plugged in my OneSpot yet. I'm running a single OneSpot with a second attachment of the extension, however many that is. I think it's like seven per extension. I have a second OneSpot as well, but I currently only use that to power my Sleepdrone5.

Frownland 02-04-2012 10:11 AM

Thanks for the tip Farfisa, I'll invest in one.

They're not 'that' pricey, a multi-purpose charger is usually around $20 with a few AAs included, and you're right they don't last forever but so long as you swap them out between uses and always start with a fresh one you shouldn't have any hassles getting through a set. Like Farfisa mentions a Onespot or some other daisy chain option (like a 5-spot adapter cable for BOSS tuner pedals) is the greatest thing for pedals that all have appropriate jacks.

So what exactly is the difference in a phaser and a univibe?

mr dave 02-12-2012 07:19 AM

It would depend on the manufacturer's specifications in each unit but from what I've always read the main difference between any 'swirly' pedal like a phaser, flanger, chorus is the scope of the potential range for the envelope filter. It's differences measured in milliseconds.

Pretty sure the main difference you'd notice is that a phaser tends to be more subtle while the univibe (if I remember correctly) is closer to a chorus and a more prominent effect.
