So I'm selling an Egnater Rebel 20 in mint condition and a Kustom KG412 Cabinet in mint condition. I got a quote from a trade in service on musiciansfriend and they offered like 250. This is less than half what I bought it for. Its less than half what was paid for the head itself. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place I could sell this at for a decent price. (My opinion, a fair price would be 300 for the head, 100 for the cabinet.)

Private sale. Whether it's through Craigslist, a yard sale, word of mouth, facebook, bulletin boards at your local bar / music store, whatever.

You're right that a fair price for a used Rebel is about $300, but that's what the store would have to ask for, they can't offer you the same price otherwise they'd be losing money and running their business into the ground. It's an unfortunate reality of the situation, DO NOT ever sell gear to a music store or pawn shop unless you need ANY amount of cash right now.

Generally speaking it seems break down like this when you're dealing in instruments. If you try trading back to a store for credit towards other gear they'll give you half price rounded down to the nearest hundred. If you just want cash they'll give you half of the amount of store credit they'd offer for a trade.

I have a guitar that retailed for $1050 a few years ago. I asked about selling it back to a local music store a few weeks ago and noticed that it now retails for $850. They offered me $200 cash.

I wish I had that. My choices were down to a Blackheart Handsome Devil 15watter and a that Eggnator Rebel. I should have saved a little more for the Eggy.

Doesnt that amp have a build in attenuator and a ****load of cool features?

Yup. Only thing it lacks is a built in reverb. But with the watts control, bright and tight switches you don't miss it too much.

Are you looking to get rid of it completely or are you upgrading to a better piano? A friend of mine sold her old piano to Frank & Camille's West and she got a great deal on a new piano. They seem like a decent company for this type of thing.
