Setting up a Mustang bridge to stay in tune?

Right so... I got a Mustang a while ago. Shouldn't have but I did so there you go. ANYWAYS. I'm well aware that these guys are notorious for not staying in tune. But I've heard multiple times that a really simple setup takes care of that- saw a youtube video where some kid did some Sonic Youth-esque crazy divebombing with the thing for a solid minute, then strummed a perfectly in-tune open chord, and quipped that you just gotta get it set up right. What I do, guitarnerds of MB? What I do?

Have you got any experience at all with setting up guitars?

Make sure the tuners gears aren't slipping and adjust the truss rod so that the neck is straight. Ensure that the strings sit in the nut nicely. Once that's done I would then intonate the guitar properly....If none of this means anything to you then maybe take it to a good local luthier/guitar tech. Shouldn't be too expensive-any guitar will benefit from a pro set up (they may shim the frets if needed, which will make it nicer to play/avoid certain string buzz).
