Default Launchkey for pianist?

Hi,
i am thinking about buying a keyboard for my piano practices and to just make some music in my spare time. I dont really make music much but having to be able to make short musics would be nice.I am considering the Launchkey from Novation and i am worried that it might not sound as good as those yamaha or roland keyboards out there in which it was made specifically for piano. Do they sound the same ? Its because that the launchkey needs the sound samples on the computer u=in which it might not sound as good and refined as yamaha sound samples in which they are taken from real pianos.

You realize that's a MIDI controller, right? It doesn't have sounds built in. You would have to run it through some software in order to play anything. (That said, MIDI controllers can play any MIDI instrument you can imagine.) From the company's description, it looks like they package some soft synths and a version of Ableton with the controller. If you want piano sounds, you'll have to find them.

If you want something you can plug in and play (no messing around with computers or software), I'd suggest getting something like a Casio Privia, which is an actual electronic piano.
