This one's for Plank and all the other slingers.

Combined they've played 47.6 trillion notes and they've all been sweet.

So... are you planning on eventually starting a new thread for every single one of those notes?

I've heard more Frank than Alan, but yeah they're both pretty incredible. I was just looking into Keisel's too. Weird.

One of the top five greatest electric guitar solos ever IMO. I've seen him play this live from about 12 feet away.

Nice! One of the few tunes I've heard. I think GFTPM had that one tabbed out back in the day. I took a look at it and just went "Nope".

Well would ya look at that... here it is:

I still use that title as an exclamation in situations where I need to get out of a tight spot.

^actually, that's from Guitar Player magazine. I just noticed the GP. There's a member of the GP writing staff that checked in here some time ago.

His finger stretching ability allows him to do stuff us mortals can't.

And his whole thing is trying to use the guitar to play sax like Coltrane. Another awesome Allan tune. Ask me about the time he told me to get off of his car...
