Playing for seniors

I am the life enrichment director at an assisted living facility and have several residents that played instruments but that struggle to now. Would love to find connections to help me keep them engaged. I know that music is who we are, in us. I want to find ways to engage that passion, the love and need even to still be involved, part of it.

Here is a specific question. I have a gentleman that due to physical limitations can no longer play the saxophone. A couple of days ago we had a band in and I watched him listen to them. It was more of a jam band that you could tell he wished he could get up and play with. Is there something synthesized, and app that he could use and learn how to still create music through the saxophone without the need for the ability two play a real one?

Any suggestions on how to tap into that huge smile that I saw when he listens to them play.
