Default Oud!!

Hey MB,

As it happens, just yesterday I came into possesion of an Oud.
Sadly, it’s strings-less.

Any ideas on what kind of strings would be the best for it (the music shop near me doesn’t have „oud strings”)?

If you can wait a couple of weeks,
you should go here.
They say they’re reopening in mid-July.
Plenty of online info on what kind of strings you may want
that depends on the sound you’re looking to create.

Nice. Love the oud. Have you heard any Hamza El Din?

I haven't heard much of the instrument before. To be honest I only found out about it's existence just a couple of weeks ago, and didn't check out much.

But thanks for the link, I'll be sure to start from there

This sounds interesting.

Did you ever record it?

No, it hasn't been recorded.
It takes 8 oud players of which
I haven't attempted to gather together.
Multitracking is a possibility tho.
