Glockenspiel Beginner

I've had a glockenspiel for a while and I know how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but I don't really know where to begin to learn to genuinely play it if that makes sense? My school isn't offering percussion this year so even video recommendations would be helpful (: Thank you

If Twinkle is your level, it sounds like you can progress a lot just by playing the thing. Then just check youtube to find more guidance.

The only percussion techniques I know of that may not be self-explanatory is playing one note repeatedly (rolls) when other instruments (like a flute) might just sustain it and playing with two clubs in each hand. But that's typically more relevant for marimba and/or vibraphone.

You could see Ruth Underwood or perhaps Gazeuse! era Gong for inspiration.

I know nothing of Glockenspiel. But as was mentioned before, maybe just experiment with it.

Like make yourself a loop backing track with 3-4 chords on a guitar or something and try to jam on it. That's pretty much how I learn new instruments.

Although the classic is Tchaikowski's Sugar Plum Fairy, it's also played as a marching band instrument, usually in descant over something more "worthy". The Little Drummer Boy carol might work well. John Williams' Hedwig's Theme is written for it, too.

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is written for a celesta actually

As are John Williams' Harry Potter themes
