Oh hey Ethan, I figured out why Bon Iver is better than Elliot Smith. Smith is boring, kind of like Nick Drake. Iver have a bit more energy. This is just my opinion, so dont destroy me. Not saying any of them are worse than others, Iver just fits my musical likings a bit more.

Oh hell yes on Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. I don't like Blink 182 or the Jonas brothers at all either but I'm not sure overrated is the word I'd use to describe them since neither seems to get much in the way of respect. They're both still pretty crappy though.

Yeah the problem with your snide summary is you're treating it like popularity is subjective; it isn't. You can say Britney Spears is obscure and Karl Blau is incredibly popular and then back it up by saying "it's just my opinion" but you're objectively wrong.

We aren't talking about popularity though, we're talking about how "well regarded" someone is, which is much more vague than simple popularity and as a result is pretty much entirely subjective.

I wasn't intending to be snide by the way, I was just making a joke about the fact that you won't even agree to disagree on this subject.
