The Velvet underground, I've never seen a band that was so well respected that I thought has less talent. Im not into bowie at all and U2 sucking is startin to grow on me.

And im begining to think thrice is on a mission to ruin the stripes.

But back to the VU, the only singer I hate more than Lou Reed is Nico. Holy ****, its equivacatable to bad spoken word. And the music took a nose dive off a talent cliff.

You know something I remember when it was the cool thing to dis hootie, and if we had only known of the crap that was to come. Hootie was Zeppelin compared to boy bands.

Also, saying hella wack...its hella wack. :thumb:

Well I throughly enjoyed Good Charlotte's first cd, second wasn't that great, and their latest work, just annoying. I think the Beatles are overrated, they too, get on my nerves. But in terms of current music, Beastie Boys, I think they top all in terms of annoyance.

Tool
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
AC/DC
Coldplay
Radiohead
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
REM
Ramones
Sex Pistols
Black Flag
Death Cab For Cutie
U2
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Franz Ferdinand
Green Day
Guns n' Roses
AFI

How can Good Charlotte possibly be considered overrated? They suck and people know it; critically, no one gives them any credit. They aren't rated highly to begin with.

Why do you hate Lou Reed so much as a singer? Is it because of the spoken word style? I really like that, they were one of the original bands to do that, not to mention one of the original rock and roll bands. They had a style no-one had quite done before, and a very strong set of songs that are popular even today.
I'm not really into Nico but I thought that was a great album. I certainly don't think The Velvet Underground are overrated, not just because I like them, I like Franz Ferdinand and I still know they are, but I just can't see where they fall down. They weren't even that commercial a band until Andy Warhol got involved, even then I don't think the music quality became below par.

I can`t see what the fuss is over the Velvet Underground & Nico album either.

I`d much rather listen to VU or Loaded

Velvet Revolver
The Donnas
A Perfect Circle
