The beatles were amazing lyricists, and anyone who disagrees is not looking deep enough into the lyrics (apart from the songs that were written while completely tripped out on acid which make NO sense whatsoever, but even those songs are brilliant for their instrumental aspects.) Add all this to the fact that they accomplished all of this basically with no influences whatsoever. I mean look at the popular artists before they came on to the scene. sinatra? ya that's a rea; valuable musical influence. sorry for going on and on, but i really can't believe how anyone could think the beatles or zeppelin are overrated.
