Tip: Don't read Life of Pi. It's mediocre at best and is truly overrated.

Agreed. I loved Life of Pi. I thought it was creative, magical, quirky, and it said a lot about survival and faith etc. It was an adventure :) I liked it! Pretty sure it won the Man Booker Prize so obviously a lot of people think highly of it.

Alright time to really get this thing going.

Lets start simple with a short story to work out the kinks, heard someone or a few folks suggest Vonnegut, a favorite of mine lets do it.
