I have to go with Outkast on this one.

Dose.

Kirby 02-07-2011 06:46 PM

OutKast.

djchameleon 02-07-2011 07:37 PM

He's the rapper from Themselves.

djchameleon 02-07-2011 07:39 PM

ah no wonder I don't know him because I don't know about themselves. I should look into them.

They're definitely worth a listen. As is 13 and God, the collaboration they had with The Notwist.

I'm gonna reserve my vote for now and maybe vote later as I've only listened to Outkast and HOVA. Not a huge fan of either of them, always felt Jay was over-rated. Reasonable Doubt was pretty good and he just seems really hit or miss with me, usually miss. Everyone love his flow but I just don't feel it. I'd probably go with Outkast because I do like a few of their hit songs, and I'll always remember Ms. Jackson, that was a classic growing up, but I'll give Dose a listen since it seems like I've heard good things about him on MB

Nujabes. Outkast at a very close second too. The strange thing is I can't really get into Themselves but I love 13 & God.

Mrd00d 02-08-2011 01:09 AM

DoseOne was insanely hard to understand for a while. I got it now, but it's that voice of his, besides his speed.

Anybody else wonder what's up with that? My friend thought it was like chronic bronchitis or he'd been throat ****ed by a big black man... I thought it was a gimmick but, it doesn't seem to be. Any chance that's how he's always sounded?

RandyMarsh 02-08-2011 01:37 AM

Nujabes. Hands down, more talented than anyone else in this poll.

anticipation 02-08-2011 08:00 AM

seba jun gets the nod.

Kirby 02-10-2011 03:30 AM

Got the rest of the day to decide a three way tie?
Hahahaha, wow.

Bane of your existence 02-10-2011 08:34 AM

Tie broken. Outkast.
I don't really like choosing between emcees and producers. It's like apples and oranges.

James 02-10-2011 09:04 AM

I think Nujabes should have been in the semis at least. Gutted.

anticipation 02-10-2011 09:26 AM

honestly i'm just pleased that Jay-Z isn't advancing. most overrated rapper ever maybe? i think so.

Either Jay or Lil Wayne (I don't understand the hype for wayne, he's probably one of the worst rappers to break into the mainstream in the last few years)

@james, slim in his prime > every other rapper past or present.
