Hip Hop Poll: Final Round Madlib vs. The Wu-Tang Clan vs. A Tribe Called Quest
 

I'm not sure who I am going to vote for yet but this is the championship.

Discuss who you feel should win the whole thing.

I went with Wu. I love all 3 of them, but the rawness of their earlier work, coupled with the the plethora of great solo output released through the Wu Tang franchise, tips it for me. Tough one though.

Wu-Tang aren't even in the running for me honestly. While I respect RZA a lot as a producer and enjoy some of his other projects, Wu-Tang have never quite clicked with me. So it comes down to a choice between A Tribe Called Quest and Madlib, both of which I like a lot. After giving it some thought, I have to go with Mablib. His music has more variety, is more unique and ultimately it simply appeals to me just a little bit more than Tribe.

Madlib deserves to win this, seriously underappreciated and talented. Exactly what the thread was made for.

Wu-Tang Definitely.

Madlib for sure, I just haven't gotten enough into Wu Tang to vote them over him, and Madlib is an incredibly talented producer, and it's impossible to not like Lord Quas.

the greatest living producer vs. the greatest hip hop group of all time vs. one of the most influential groups of all time.

that's basically what it boils down to.

Madlib is just too prolific, he's touched so many artists... "Show me on this MF DOOM doll where he touched you"... when I considered Wu-Tang as a unit I put less emphasis on their solo work, since GZA and other individuals were also included in the polls. Wu-Tang the group ranks a close third, behind Madlib and ATCQ.

Lil B should have made the semis. He's so devoted and DIY.
