OK, I know this was meant to be all about new stuff that I get, written as I get it, but after a little thought, and the need to fill this thing out so that it looks like I'm serious, I've decided to chuck a few reviews up that I've previously had published in the hallowed pages (I have to say that, it's in my contract) of Scootering Magazine.
These are the unedited versions which simply means that I've not had a professional (Hi Mr Editor) look over them to see where my spelling is ****, or my grammar poor. I don't like to let him have an easy life, he can earn his bloody wage like I do.
I'm not going to stick all the ones I've done online for a couple of reasons - the earliest ones are pretty crap, and one or two are pretty obviously generic 'they sound like this, so if you like that then you'll want to buy this too' reviews. One thing I will point out though - every one of these is, in my opinion anyway, recommended listening.
I've a stack of what are - and no offence can be caused here as I'm not naming names - absolutely terrible releases. Actually, thinking about it, I will name names - if I can bear to put myself through it again, I'll write up the truly awful Hippocrocadillapig album "A Fist Full Of Dillas". Trust me though, it truly is bloody awful. Quite comfortably the worst ska cd I've got, and that is quite an achievement.
Hopefully you'll find these interesting, a glimse into the scooter worlds wide spread of musical entertainment, and maybe send you off to scour the world wide web for copies of some of the harder to come by releases.
Now make yourself comfortable, reach for a glass of JD and prepare to write long emails to me telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about. After all, you may well be right.
