Question Question About Billboard Country Music Chart

I'm a bit confused by the billboard country music chart.

If you go to the Billboard site and look at the hot country songs it shows the chart issue date as "2008-09-06", which is next Saturday...

Sites like CMT.com release news about the country music chart that matches the chart on the billboard site, for example "Keith Urban's "Shirt" Is Top Song".

However, other sites like American Country Countdown appear to use the billboard chart from the previous week as their current chart.

Which one is the current chart and why does the Billboard chart appear to be releasing next weeks chart a week early?

i 'think' billboard goes by radio and record sells,...
CMT goes by their own rankin system of whats being played on their network

if you look at their 'chart' and then at gac's 'chat' they differ,.....slightly, but its still different

but you dont need all that crap,...just go by this:

Texas Music for the Country - Chart

Billboard magazine is STRICTLY sales, where CMT will be more a combination of popularity on radio, their own requests, maybe sales. Billboard used to do their thing that way, but they switched over in the early 90's.
