Right, the majority of country listeners, atleast myself, listen to country because that's what we've been listening to our entire lives. I grew up on a farm/ranch so it comes with the territory.

That's not to say that I don't listen to other music genres.

You would think country music would have real meaning because it's American,
but no. It reeks and it's laughble.

did anyone else have to read that more than once to figure out what the hell it was supposed to say?

back on topic, I'm not particularily fond of country, but there are a few songs that I like, every person has different tastes, and there's completely horrible and ridiculous lyrics in every genre of music *cough*rap*cough* so you really can't judge an entire genre of music based on a few crappy songs.

Not to mention the fact that this is why there are so many different genres...so everyone can pick what they like and not have to listen to the stuff they don't. I don't see the point in bashing another genre just because you don't like it. What does it really gain you? Not a thing. I happen to like country...as was stated before its what I grew up on. Thats what my parents listened to, however, I also listened to rock/metal growing up. When it comes to music I'm willing to give everything a chance cuz you never know where you might find a good song/group.
