Green River was technically the first grunge band, or that's atleast where people state Grunge began. Mark Arm and Steve Turner deserve so much more credit than they get.

Tomorrow is definitely underrated. I hardly ever hear people mentioning them, but they sounds kind of like a more psychedelic version of The Beatles to me.

Any band that was formed after a popular band broke up and re-grouped with different people and didn't hit the same success. They'll always be compared to their old band, even if it isn't a fair comparison.

For example: Wings after The Beatles, fIREHOSE after Minutemen, Spinnerette after The Distillers, Jawbox after Government Issue.
