The Godz album I know pretty well, after having mistakingly heard it several years ago. I`d got the band confused with the Ohio based band of the same name and after listening to Godz 2 for about 30 seconds realized this wasn`t a late 70s hard rock album
 The Godz album is more or less what could be expected from a 60s experimental rock band with great experimental touches, but the album could have benefitted from more singing. The Red Krayola album though, which I`ve just listened to for the first time is something different and the similiarities to Velvet Underground very obvious, but even more interesting are the freak out sections and this combo with the smooth singing are great, I`d say even after one listen this album is pretty essential. Red Krayola 2 Godz 0 I`m guessing most people on here won`t know these albums, but they`re well worth the listen. |

Sadly I don`t think this battle will get anymore votes, its a shame really as these albums are great listens, but maybe they`re just too obscure for some people, anyway Red Krayola win. The same can`t be said for the next battle. Three of the biggest albums to have come out of the grunge era and if any rock fan hasn`t heard these three albums.......they deserve to be shot!

Ten was originally released in 1991 a few months before Nevermind was released, it was re-released in 1992 with extra bonus tracks. I've never really been a big fan of Soundgarden, even when I was big into the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains I never really saw the appeal of them. I have heard Badmotorfinger a couple of times and it's decent enough I guess.
Between Nevermind and Ten I'll probably have to go for Nevermind. It's stood the test of time better than Ten as the production on Ten sounds very dated now. It's also the most enjoyable overall as there are a couple of filler tracks on Ten that really don't do much for me at all. Both good albums and were big favourites of mine growing up. Soundgarden - 0 Nirvana - 1 Pearl Jam - 0
