I don't know, actually. I just have a meaningless divider in my head between Zaireeka and the Soft Bulletin.

Zaireeka is, to me, a novelty that I will probably only listen to once in my life if that. I guess it just put the notion in my head that the albums before it would be just as ridiculous.

All completely unfounded ideas, I just didn't know where to start after the most recent few.

I've only given it the once over, I hope it will be a grower and it'll be an album I'll listen to lots.

Better than having a Steely Dan album as my avatar.

It's actually a pretty good album in similar style to Soft Bulletin. You'd probably like it if you like that album, and there are mixed down versions of it out there on the internet if you don't feel like dealing with the whole four disc thing.

What I would describe as their early stuff is their first few albums. Those are noisier and more rock-ish.

Yeah, there's honestly no ****ing way I'm going to borrow three more stereos. Thank god for the internet.

Quite good.

No problem, I'm glad a few people have shown an interest in the band. If you liked The Latter Rain (2007) then you definitely will enjoy their newest release Mantra, a top contender in my top 10 metal albums of 2010.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

ill.gates - Autopirate

I'm still listening to it, and I'm really digging it so far. It's not my favorite album I've heard in the past year (or probably even the past month or so) but it's definitely solid and interesting.

What kind of music is it, if you don't mind me asking?

It's an album that I can listen to always. It has enough energy and hooks to make you interested on your first few listens. But, you can't drain it there as it has a lot going on underneath to keep you interested and make you come back to it. And it still sounds like it could be made today. That's quite an accomplishment for a basically straight up rock 'n 'roll album. That great/awesome.
