Hell, there's more thematic unity to OK Comp than there is to Kid A.

Nobody's particularly able to give any reasons as to why it is better than OKC, other than it just simple being the case. It loses on all counts of what makes an album good:

- quality of specific material
- consistency of general material
- flow and congruity
- thematic unity
- just simple good f'cking songs!
keep quantifying it

Never did I say OK Computer is a bad album, it is my second favorite from Radiohead. All I am saying is that I feel Kid A is a better album. No one should be offended by that, as they are both spectacular. Just because I'm a huge Radiohead fan doesn't mean I have to like their most successful album the most. There are plenty of Pink Floyd fans who feel Dark Side is not their best work even though it's the most successful.

Quite right dac, though you have to admit that both OK Computer and Kid A got/get a bit too much hype for their own good. :P

On a completely different note, how/why the hell is Pablo Honey winning over HTTT in the poll? Lunacy!!

*disagree, Kid A has better material
*disagree, Kid A is much more consistent than OKC which has some dull, throwaway songs
*disagree, the tracks on Kid A flow just as well as OKC
*disagree, unimportant
*disagree, Kid A has better songs. "How to Disappear Completely" is the best song Radiohead ever made, for example.

there's some reasons why Kid A is better.

I really don't see how Ok Computer could be better than Kid A, it just seems so mundane in comparison.
