Ginny Blackmore's cover of 'Stay'. I'm not a big Rihanna fan at all, but this stripped down version is a pretty alternative and Ginny's voice is superior.

Jailbreak album by Thin Lizzy.

First time ever getting into this band's albums. (other than the hits, various deep cuts, etc.)

There's a sweet spot in the eighties where the dividing line between thrash metal, death metal, and black metal can get pretty hazy. I love that shit.

I'm in the mood for something catchy so I decided to check out the new Fall Out Boy.

I'm not that big of a Children of Bodom fan anymore (though they do put on a kickass live show) and I am even more bored by their post-Follow the Reaper material, but Bloodrunk is the exception. Sure it's trying to cash in on the metalcore craze and the thrash revival craze at the same time, but it has enough legitimate fire that I can't hate it. It certainly does a far better job than Trivium does at least.
