This thread amazes me because never before have I seen so many people love it, without having to read "Overrated hipster trash" That kills me.

Anyways, this is truly an amazing album. And I can honestly admit, the only song to ever make me want to cry was Two-Headed Boy pt.2, the part when he sings "And in my dreams you're alive and you're crying" That and it is the greatest closing track ever, he sings "But don't hate her when she gets up to leave" and then you literally hear Jeff get up and leave. I can't say anything more than, "Amazing."
oh comely and two headed boy pt 2 make me cry. or just send chills through my spine. not much music can do that.

Do you think that NMH should have kept making albums even if it didn't live up to his prior works?

Fun fact about this song, it was recorded all in one take, beginning to end. At the end you can just hear his friend yell "sh*t!"

Whenver I listen to Oh Comely, I always turn it up in the end just to hear that "Holy Sh*t!"

My friend described Neutral Milk Hotel pretty well. It's like a bunch of kids with crayons scribbling on a blank wall.

This band is pretty good. Vocals are a bit iffy sometimes, but overall they have good songs and a good sound.

I'll never understand what the big deal is about In an Aeroplane over the Sea.
