Fantastic tune. I don't think I ever saw it before. And Paddy's in it...<3

Not a bad mover either.

You can tell he's learnt a few moves for the vid, but he does look a touch rusty.

Northern Soul Compilation for jackhammer and anyone else who's interested.

Just for fun and to make it a bit more interesting for the listener, this compilation is laid out with a storyline.
I've tried my best to put them in the order listed below, but for some reason the upload mixed them up randomly.
So a quick re-arrange before listening should do the trick.

Most of these tracks are Northern standards, some are Motown rarities and one is pure Deep Soul.

Boy meets girl, she reluctantly falls in love despite a recent heartbreak. Suspicion and fear of commitment leads to relationship breakdown ...or does it?

To be played in the following order;

1. The Girl Across The Street - Moses Smith

2. Lonely Lover – The Four Tops

3. You’re Gonna Make Me Love You – Sandi Sheldon

4. Open The Door To Your Heart – Darrel Banks

5. You Got Me – Jaibi (not a northern track, but a deep soul song and easily the most perfect tune in existence)

6. Sunny – Marvin Gaye

7. Turning My Heartbeat Up – MVP’s

8. Suspicion – The Originals

9. Tainted Love – Gloria Jones (1964 original much covered and still the best)

10. Just A Little Misunderstanding – The Contours

11. Here Are The Pieces Of My Broken Heart – Gladys Knight & The Pips

12. You Don’t Want Me No More – Major Lance

13. No One There – Martha Reeves

14. There’s A Ghost In My House – R. Dean Taylor (covered by The Fall)

15. Lonely, Lonely Girl Am I – The Velvelettes

16. Seven Days Too Long – Chuck Woods

For men with soul and all women.

The download is tight RT and just what I expected. I have heard plenty of Northern Soul along the way, but never had some down on hard copy. A great compilation.

Whisper:try Badongo free file hosting and image hosting for uploading-much better speeds up and down. Mega is giving me 25 kbs on a 20 meg connection-terrible!

I wouldn't class Heatwave in the Northern Soul bracket, although some of their Funk stuff might be popular in some quarters of the scene.
