There isn't much Hendrix that isn't killer. I don't understand how anybody who likes guitar don't like Jimi.

^Words of wisdom.

Favorite Hendrix song? Can we do a top 5 thing instead?

1) Foxy Lady
2) All Along the Watchtower (though I kindamaybesorta prefer Bob's version)
3) Purple Haze
4) Spanish Castle Magic
5) Manic Depression

Honorable mention to Hey Joe.

I don't see what's to prefer about Dylan's version. it's not rubbish, but the Hendrix arrangement and execution is top notch.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

I agree. I just have an illogical soft spot in my heart for all Dylan's stuff. I even like his House of the Rising Sun.

As a fellow Dylan lover I accept your illogical allegiance

So do people just not like 1983? Doesn't seem to be on many lists.

hendrix never covered cocaine, it was eric clapton that made it famous.

my top hendrix tune is 'house burning down' followed closely by 'the stars that play with laughing sam's dice' and 'bold as love'.
